Breast reduction is not only for esthetics purpose. Having oversized breasts can cause: back pain, neck pain, shoulders pain because of the weight and because of the bra straps, respiratory problems, and circulation problems.
Breast reduction, also called reduction mammoplasty, is a procedure to reduce the size of the breasts. The procedure is for women and men (gynecomastia).
The Breast reduction is a surgical procedure in which the extra fat, skin and glandular tissues are reduced and the nipple is placed in a new position.
After the breast surgery, there is only a small scar left, shaped like an anchor.

Tips for Breast Reduction Plastic Surgery: |
- Choose a certified place to perform the surgery.
- If your breasts are not fully grown wait with the surgery until they got to their maximum size.
- For your consideration: you might not be able to ever breastfeed after having the surgery.
- Read as much information as you can so you will be prepared.
- Before the surgery you should check for infections and lumps and take care of it.
- After the surgery you will have bandages and you will also get a therapeutic bra. The bandages will be off in a few days but keep wearing the bra for a few weeks, until the marks and swelling are gone.
- Keep applying body lotion on the breasts several times a day, because they will be very dry after the surgery. Make sure not to put any on the stitches.
- Try not to have sex 1-2 weeks after the surgery so your breasts won't get swollen and stuffed from the hormones.
- Wait 6 weeks before you do sport activities.
