Brow lift, Also known as Eyebrow and Forehead lift is a cosmetic surgery made in order to look younger.
The surgery corrects drooping eyebrows and the lines on the forehead that are made by: genetics, stress, and sun exposure.

There are 2 types of procedures:

  • "Open procedure"- can be made partial or full. In the full open procedure a cut is being made on the forehead hair line from ear to ear and the tissues and skin are being tightened. In The partial open procedure, the incision is made only on the sides of the forehead in order to lift the eyebrows.
  • "Endoscopic procedure"- made with an endoscope by making some small incisions to insert an optic instrument to perform the surgery.
The surgery can be made on people at all ages but most common among 40-60 years old people.
The eyebrow and forehead surgery can be made under local or general anesthesia depending on the surgery and the surgeon's decision.

Risk of Brow Lift Cosmetic Surgery:

The eyebrow surgery is very common and complications are rare, but just like any other surgery some complications may occur.
The complications might be:
Bleedings, infection, swellings, scaring, asymmetry, numbness, loose of hair where the scar is, nerve control damage which might cause inability to raise the yebrows (can be corrected with another surgery).

Tips for Brow Lift Cosmetic Surgery:

  • Choose good certified surgeon so no complication will occur and you will have a peace of mind.
  • Ask as many questions as you can about the procedure, the risks, and results.
  • Eyebrows lift and forehead lift can be combines with other cosmetic surgeries, such as: facelift surgery and eyelid surgery.
  • There is also a possibility to use Botox to treat the frown lines and wrinkles. Consult the surgeon before you have the procedure.
  • After the surgery you will stay for recovery and observation. It might take a few hours or over night, ask your surgeon and make sure someone comes to take you and maybe also help you for a few days.
  • Let your hair grow before the surgery to better hide the scars.
  • The results are not permanent and you might have to have the surgery again after a few years.
  • It is possible to get back to normal but moderate activities 10-14 days after the surgery.
