Lips surgery, also known as labia plasty, is a cosmetic procedure to enhance the appearance of the lips. The lips surgery doesn't go many years back;

- Ask your surgeon for pictures of other patients and try to find someone that had similar lips to you so you will know what to expect.
- It is best to test the fillers on the patient before the surgery to see if there is any sensitivity.
- Talk to your surgeon about the recovery time you think you are going to be able to have so he can fit you the right procedure for you.
- After the lips surgery, your lips will be swollen for a few days or weeks depending on the procedure you had, make sure to keep your doctor informed about your swelling.
- Have someone to take you home after the surgery because you might be too weak to drive on your own.
- Quit smoking one month before the lips surgery and also one month after the lips surgery to have better results, better recovery and no complications.
- After the lips surgery your lips might be swollen and painful, so you won't be able to eat solid food. Try and eat soft food or liquid food until you feel better.
- Wear buttons shirt to the surgery so you won't need to take it over your head after the surgery and hurt your sensitive lips.
