The neck ages before the face therefore sometimes it will be enough to have neck lift for better and younger look with no facelift.
The neck can start to get loose at different time for different people;
Some people's neck starts to get loose between the ages of 29-32 and for some people it might get loose between the ages of 45-56.
The loose neck might occur because of: massive weight loss, or genetics reasons.
There are 2 kinds of operations:
- Cervical Plasty- In this surgery the excess skin is being removed.
- Platysma Plasty- In this surgery the neck muscles are being altered and tightened.
The procedure can be done also combines with liposuction form the neck.

Neck Lift Plastic Surgery Procedure: |
The surgery takes about 2-4 hours and is made under general anesthesia. The surgeon will instruct the patient how to get ready for the surgery and will give him medications after the surgery.
The neck surgery includes and incision in front of the ear or behind it, under the hair line so it won't be seen.
The hypodermis tissues are being tightened and the extra skin is removed.

Risks of Neck Lift Plastic Surgery: |
After the surgery you will experience some normal side effects, such as: swelling, some bruises, hemorrhages, the neck will be tightened and might sting a little, there might be also numbness feeling.
It will all pass in a few days after the neck surgery.
Like every surgery there might be also some complications, such as: infection, pus, and bleedings.

Tips for Neck Lift Plastic Surgery: |
- Choose only certified clinic with well know well surgeons.
- Ask as many questions as you can and collect information on the internet, to make sure the procedure is right for you.
- If you are a smoker, you must quit at least for 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after the neck lift surgery.
- Don't diet; eat healthy to make sure the healing will be optimal.
- Don't expose your neck to the sun at the recovery period, which is about 2 weeks after the surgery.
- Recovery will take about 2 weeks, you should take 1-2 weeks off from work and don’t over do.
- Don't exercise for at least 4-6 weeks after the surgery.
- Neck lift is not a permanent procedure; results will stay for about 8-10 years.
